PUSH & PULL

My most recent work uses nature, and specifically trees, as a metaphor for the importance of family in my life, those with us and those who have departed, and the relationships and memories we hold dear to our heart. This body of work is a tribute to those in my life that have “pushed me” or “pulled me along” to be a better version of myself. I am sincerely grateful to my family and friends who have been a guiding light in this journey called life. I am continually working to grow my garden of gratitude.

These artworks are in my current one-person exhibit, “Push & Pull”, at the Artists Collective, Spartanburg, SC January 7 - February, 22.

REMNANTS

My series below, “Remnants”, is a body of small works created from a variety of papers and such from the larger art above. My artwork in general is often about what I might call “found moments”; these pieces reflect that idea of me finding them, so to speak, as I work in the studio with various accumulated pieces around me.
